Rumbling Bald, well known for its solid NC granite, has classic lines of all grades and world class bouldering. From long run-out slabs to overhung roof cracks, Rumbling Bald will have something for everyone!
A group dinner will be held on Saturday at the Azalea Chalet in Chimney Rock, NC. The address for the chalet is 950 Main Street, Unit 2, Chimney Rock, NC 28720. As you come to the address you will see a sign for Mountain Village Chalets. Turn into the drive on the north side of the road to find the chalet. In addition to the chalets which can be rented, there are camping and other accommodations that can be found nearby. Let us know if you need information.
The club will be providing grilled chicken, salmon, and veggie pasta for the dinner. We are asking that everyone bring a side dish or dessert. If you would like to be counted for the dinner, please RSVP by sending an email to atlantaclimbingclub@gmail.com
Everyone should plan to arrange carpooling to and from Rumbling Bald on their own. For Saturday and Sunday the meeting time will be 8:00am at the chalet (see directions above). The parking lot will fill up quickly so it’s better to get there early.
