The 2013 Boat Rock – Float the Boat – Bouldering Competition is scheduled for Saturday January 19th. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN UPDATE FROM THE DATE ANNOUNCED AT THE RECENT CLUB MEETING. Come join the climbing club support this event with all proceeds going to the SCC. The event is $30 to compete and $20 for spectators. Admissions at both prices include food and event t-shirt but be aware a $5 is added to the registration fee the day of the event. The club will have a tent on display and will be providing bagels and hot beverages while supplies last some come on down, show support of the SCC, club and local climbing community.
Free camping is available at the event and the Float the Boat Pre-Comp Party on Friday night (18th) at High Country Outfitters. Information for both events can be found at the links below.
IMPORTANT! CHANGE FROM LAST YEAR- Parking, awards, food, after party and assorted shenanigans at Mellow Mushroom Corporate Headquarters, 5375 Drake Drive, Atlanta, 30336, 2.4 miles from Boat Rock, in the industrial park off of Fulton Industrial Dr. with the huge red pipe sculpture at the entrance. High Country will be shuttling to and from here with a full-on school bus.
